“The Firm” is a name of the old Tom Cruise movie. It’s also a name of Ukrainian franchise barber shop specializing in men’s style. And this is Vadim, the guy who trimmed and styled my beard (freehand!) so I don’t look like stereotypical hillbilly anymore.
At the end of the day of family photography I wanted to create something badass… I think I’ve succeeded.
Just a local power plant at night.
PS: Now I have a plane ticket to ATL, ho ho ho.
Meet Julia, my first wedding client in Belarus – I photographed her wedding in 2012. Today she came for a Trash The Dress photoshoot, which we scheduled for 1am. In a pitch black forest. Brave!
Oh, and she can fly, too.
Today’s urge to jump caught us in a moonlit cornfield. I used my flashlight and inhumanely high ISO to capture the action.
Goofing around with Margaret and her jumping project again. As you might’ve guessed, today’s theme is “Fallen angel”. I had to macgyver a few new props for this shot – namely, a human leg adapter for the light stand and an invisible stool.
Experimenting with light painting again, this time using more subtle colors and a much longer lens. It was fun, despite the fact that an owl pooped on my plaid :)
For today’s photo I wanted to create something artsy-fartsy. Here in a former USSR it always means black & white. Usually nude, quite often fat and ugly. Or just a still life involving bell peppers or chillies, preferably some severely deformed mutatoes.
Unfortunately I don’t have any bell peppers, chillies
We were packing after a late evening photoshoot…
Me: “Stay right there, the light is just about perfect. How would you like to be photographed?”
Margaret: “We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious. Gollum! I mean, Nikon!”
